Description

This 1975 Cigarette Racing Team 28SS is powered by dual 350ci Chevrolet LT-1 V8 inboards paired with MerCruiser TRS outdrives. The boat was purchased by the selling dealer in 2025, and subsequent work that year included reupholstering the cockpit and the forward cabin in red vinyl, installing Quick Fuel carburetors, and fitting a quadruple stainless-steel Valvetronic exhaust system. The water pumps were replaced in preparation for the sale. This 28SS is now offered by the selling dealer with a cockpit cover, spare propellers, a triple-axle trailer, a clean Florida title for the boat, and Florida registration for the trailer.

The 28′ fiberglass hull is finished in black and white with Cigarette Racing Team livery. Exterior details include underwater lighting, a tinted wraparound windscreen, an upholstered engine cover, navigation lights, and quadruple stainless-steel exhaust outlets. Most of the gallery photos were taken in 2025.

The cockpit houses standing bolsters and a rear bench that were reupholstered in red, white, and black vinyl upholstery in 2025. Additional work at that time included lining the sole in SeaDek flooring, rebuilding the steering system with replacement hoses and valves, replacing the throttle and gear controls, installing two Odyssey house batteries with an automatic cutoff switch, replacing the cockpit lighting system, and installing a Wet Sounds stereo system with two amplifiers, six 8″ speakers, and two 12″ subwoofers.

The starboard helm features a three-spoke steering wheel that fronts a suite of instrumentation as well as switches for trim angle, lighting, and other functions. The five-digit mechanical hour meter shows 562 hours of runtime.

The forward cabin is lined in gray carpeting and houses a V-Berth that is upholstered in red vinyl with Cigarette Racing Team embroidery.

Power is from dual 350ci Chevrolet LT-1 V8 inboards that are fed by dual fuel tanks and equipped with braided stainless-steel lines and are each said to produce over 400 horsepower. Work in 2025 included replacing the spark plugs, overhauling the wiring, and installing Quick Fuel carburetors and quadruple stainless-steel exhausts with a Valvetronic system that provide on-demand control over exhaust sound and flow. The water pumps were replaced and the engine and stern-drive oils were changed in preparation for the sale.
